First stop on my itinerary for our Colorado Road Trip 2016 is the Manitou Indian Cliff Dwellings. For only $9 a person and dogs allowed, how can it be beat unless its free and in that case we have some sights to show you in upcoming posts later on.
The Indians must have been small people. I am short and I fit through the cave just fine but some of the spaces you needed to crawl through to really check it out were tight squeezes.
For the most part most people can walk behind the walls and get a glimpse of what it was like and read the history about it.
Below is the view from the dwellings! Simply beautiful!
This is a room for 4 or more and I actually squeezed down this ladder to the bottom level to crawl out a square hole. I was lucky my hips weren't any bigger, because I might have gotten stuck here.
It is amazing how big it actually looks on the outside and how tight it is in on the inside.
With the dwellings above not sure what the tee-pee is for, but who doesn't miss an opportunity to take a picture of an awesome tee-pee, not me!
