Historical Towns of Indiana

We took a drive to the Indiana/Ohio State Line to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse. On our way to dinner we drove through some of the most beautiful little towns.

Along our route we came across this old wooden covered bridge. Isn't it beautiful?

We drove for a few hours and found some of the oldest churches, homes and grave yards that I had ever seen with the most unique headstones that resembled chess pieces.

We had a wonderful dinner and headed back to Indiana with a beautiful sunset to capture my eye as I daydreamed out the window.

Visiting Family in New Castle, Indiana

Stopped in to stay with family while visiting New Castle, Indiana They had the most beautiful flowers blooming all around their yard. We headed to visit other family and stopped in to see my cousins and there were the most awesome cars hidden in my cousins garage.

I could really spend hours out here with this view of the pond across the road!

Welcome Home - Colorado Road Trip 2016

By the looks of the clouds ahead we are heading into a scary storm. It turned out this storm was tornadic and went through northern Oklahoma and Kansas killing a few. I am thankful we did not go through Kansas as my husband first suggested.

We have arrived back in Oklahoma!

The first Cherokee Trading post you come to, stop off and grab a Buffalo burger! Why? I don't know, why not!

Above I seen this cute hamburger stand on Route 66 reminded me of a mini White Castle burger building.

Oklahoma also has what appears to be ancient volcanoes off in the distance to the south of I-40.

When you are near El Reno, Oklahoma you have a second chance to grab that Buffalo Burger you passed up on the first time when passing by Cherokee Trading Post! Let me know what you think!
