Wood-Burning Fun!

Hello again friends and followers!

I have had this cabinet door sitting for over a year with this image penciled onto it, so that one day I would wood burn it into the door. I have no project in mind for it, I just wanted to do it for fun. And to play around with my new wood burning kit.

I wood burned a squirrel image onto a piece of pine I believe in the 6th grade. I tried again for a camp site sign for my husband and I. It turned out really good, I will have to find it and post a picture if I haven’t already.

So this would be my 3rd project with trying wood burning.  It was fun and definitely kept me busy after work and on weekends when I wasn’t doing chores or playing with my pets.

My new Spider Plant

What a delightful surprise!

My Assistant Manager left me this fantastic plant on my desk to make up for my recent Poinsettia plants departure. I was ecstatic! Especially when I seen the cute fun additions she added to the pot.

 Like this cat figurine.

And rockin smiley face!

So cute and so very thoughtful! I honestly have some wonderful co-workers. The good ones really out way the bad ones. I lost one plant and gained two. I look forward to this plant growing strong and producing some babies for me to share with them in return. ;)

Say Aloe to my little friend.. Day 1

Hello my friends and followers, it has been a while since I dropped a line into this blog. I decided today was the day! I haven’t been camping or doing much of anything outdoors in quite some time. So I am enjoying moments like today where one of my co-workers gifted me with this adorable plant for my desk.

My rather large and what appeared to me the last time I seen it before my weekend off, a thriving Poinsettia plant had been removed from my desk last Monday. At first I was livid. But I found out the girl who gifted the what looked like at the time of it being given to me, that it was a dying wilting Poinsettia plant. I turned its life around and it was thriving with new undergrowth. I was a proud mama. But the co-worker who had given me the plant noticed over the weekend that it had died so she said she took care of it. I did get a little attached to the Poinsettia and was not thrilled that I did not get to see for myself whether I could save it, but it is what it is.

I have now been given this adorable little fella from another co-worker who noticed I was a little saddened by the loss of my previous plant, It brightens up my day and I haven’t even had it 24 hrs yet! Right now it is just so darn cute I had to write about it!
