Bull Shoals White River SP Restrooms

I have talked to friends that have not been camping since they were kids and the memories they have of the campground facilities are horrifying memories to them. The dark spider infested vault toilets, who didn't dread going to the rest room late at night with only a flash light that had dying batteries? Well, those are the days of the past my friends, I wanted to share with you the facilities at an Arkansas state park Bull Shoals White River State Park. They send cleaning crews I know at least daily.

St. Patricks Day

Started my morning just right beautiful patriotic red white and blue bird flew into the tree just ahead of where I was sitting. Then a woodpecker came through as we started a morning campfire. There's nothing like having your favorite cup of mojo by the early morning campfire.

I'm not kidding what is that I see across the White River in Arkansas? An American Bald Eagle! No way! Yes, Way!

My camera battery went dead and I had decided to get my shower when I returned the hubby points out a little bird that was hopping across the camp site. It had mucus in it's beak that had a marshmallow like texture and I think it was suffocating. My hubby gathered some leaves and made it a make shift nest by the picnic table. It started using the leaves to clean its own mouth out.

We had to move the little make shift nest due to rain moving in. He did not make it.

Bull Shoals White River State Park Arkansas - Spring Break Day 1

These are the tiniest sites ever! I don't know how we lucked out in getting the very campsite right next the one we had the 1st trip here in 2008. I thought the first site was rough but site 78 it's very tight. We are looking forward to the hubby catching lots of trout and having a great spring break camp out!

The White River below the Bull Shoals Dam.

When the river was low enough the Fly fishermen and women would get back in the river and resume to tickling their trouts!

Central State Park Campground - Lake Arcadia, OK

We had a few days to get the camper prepped for our first trip of the year! So we went to our local campground. We let the girls of the Pom Squad try and get use to their caged surroundings. No more leash burns on my legs! Woo - Hoo!

We really love how spacious the full hook up sites are at this campground.

 We camped at site 508!
